The passion for running has been finally defined as enthusiastic GenSan Run Club members registered for the nationally – renowned and Mindanao – widely accepted Phoenix Run. The Davao Phoenix Marathon was slated last March 11, 2012 to cover the rolling and taxing terrain of Davao City.
Sixteen (16) GRC runners joined the thousand – more attendees in 5KM, 10KM and 21KM race. In spite of the long travel, pressing budget and unfamiliar running grounds, these determined GRC runners simply would want a personal running history and accomplishment and fun from traveling to compete.

It was an opportune running event to learn from, so, GenSan Run Club can hold a better and funner Dagan Sa Kalilangan. More importantly, this recently concluded race warmed the GRC runners with the running culture in Davao City and the overwhelming spirit of other running enthusiasts.
